Can I extend my booking once I have picked the vehicle up?

What is your fuel policy, are there any additional charges on arrival?
Our fuel policy is that you receive the vehicle on a full tank of fuel and you are required to return the vehicle with a full tank, if the car is not returned full the hirer is responsible for the cost of refueling the car plus an administration fee of 25€, the car must be refueled within 5km of the airport to which its being returned. -
How do I know if my booking is confirmed?
Booking is confirmed once a deposit of 20% of total balance is paid, you will then receive confirmation to be shown on your arrival. -
What do I need to carry with me when I drive?
A copy of your contract agreement, driving licence and passport. -
How long will I expect to wait for my car at the airport?
There are no airport queues, you are met at arrivals to sign the contract than shown straight to your car, we aim for you to leave the airport within ten minutes. All paperwork is completed prior to your arrival. -
What do you need from me when I arrive?
All paperwork is normally completed prior to your arrival. You must print your reservation, car hire contract agreement will be prepared to carry it with you along with your drivers license and passport for the full duration of your car hire. -
How can I pay?
Deposit payment can be paid via PayPal, Visa debit or credit card. The details you provide at booking will be charged the balance upon arrival. -
Can I waiver the excess?
Yes, you have the option to reduce to Insurance excess waiver €900/€1400 to €250/€450 for an additional €7 per day. -
What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?
To confirm booking you are required to pay a deposit of 20% of the total car hire balance, in case of any cancellations you will be charged the 20%.If you cancel your booking within 3 days of arrival you will be charge the full balance amount of you booking. -
If I arrive in the middle of the night, is that a problem?
No. -
What happens if my flight is delayed?
All flights are monitored however if you could inform us on any flight delays from your local airport as flights are only monitored once departed. Are there any hidden costs?
The price we quote is the price you pay, there are no hidden costs. -
Can more than one person drive the car?
There is no limit to extra drivers, first additional driver free of charge, for any more additional drivers there is a surcharge of 20€ per driver- these details should be given at the time of hire. -
Why are our prices apparently more expensive than big companies?
It's very simple, they are apparently cheaper but when you collect your car they add huge and abusive extras ( Fuel insurance deposits) and the end total is multiplied by 4, We are very clear, what you see is what you get. The price we quote is the last price you pay with no hidden extras. We do not take any holding deposit You will receive the car on a full tank and you return back on a full tank there are no fuel surcharges. -

What happens if i get a flat tyre?
Tyres are the responsibility of the hirer, you must replace with the same model tyre on the vehicle, or if returned damaged we will charge you accordingly for new tyre. -
What happpens if i refuel car with the incorrect Fuel Type?
You will be charged €375 plus refuelling of the vehicle. -
What happens if i lose my car key?
You will be charged for replacement key €200 -
Can the car be delivered to the hotel or lodging stay and then returned to the airport?

What type of driver's licence is required?
To rent an CB Rentals, you will need a clean driving licence that covers the vehicle rented by you. It will need to be held for at least 12 months and be from your country of residence. Remember to have your original driving licence with you. Should you accidentally forget to bring your driving license with you to Malta, help may be at hand through contacting the Driving License issuing authority in your country of residence.

How old do I need to be to rent?
Minimum age changes by country and type of car. In Malta, you can rent from Avis when you are 21 years old or over (you will need to have held a driving licence for at least 12 months. A Young Driver Surcharge is applicable for drivers under the age of 25. Once you have selected the rental location, dates and choice of car, you will get a full list of requirement, including minimum driver age and Young Driver Surcharge. -
Does CB Rentail deliver cars in Malta and Gozo?
Yes, CB Rentail can deliver your car to your Hotel, or rented accommodation in Malta and Gozo. -
Can I drive the vehicle to and from the island of Gozo?
Yes! All CB Rentail vehicles may travel between the two islands of Malta and Gozo and are fully insured to travel on the Gozo Ferry. Please note that Avis vehicles are however prohibited from boarding a ferry other than the Gozo Ferry, and they are prohibited from leaving the island of Malta/Gozo in order to go to foreign territories.
